Features and Benefits
An Arkeras patient gown differs from a traditional hospital gown both in fabric offerings and design elements. Traditional hospital robes tend to be made from fabric that can withstand the harsh laundering necessary for robes meant for short-term hospital stays or one-off examinations. They are typically a one-size-fits-all garment with snaps or ties placed for easy access, which can make for an awkward and unflattering fit.
By stark contrast, an Arkeras gown is made in a choice of easy-to-care-for fabrics that are intentionally soft and high-end in order to elevate a patient's comfort and sense of self. Plus, each gown features four distinct design elements that equally aide a patient, a caretaker, and/or a hospital staff person. These open-back hospital gowns include simultaneous open-back access and coverage, chest-placed zippers and full sleeves for easy IV and porthole access, and a built-in scarf for extra warmth, comfort, and, well, style.
Our hospital gowns are the smart choice of robe for a hospital stay—replacing the need for a nightgown and robe set—with luxe fabric choices that cater to the wearer based on her level of need for texture, temperature, or elegance. Each is an open-back hospital gown that offers access plus full coverage not only at the back but at the chest and arms. The dual chest zippers and 3/4 dolman sleeves are ready for IVs or portholes. And the easy fit of these soft hospital gowns is made even more comfortable and flattering with the added flair of an attached scarf. We launched Arkeras with a midnight blue hospital gown option as our signature color choice, but continually add new colors to best fulfill a woman’s need to look her best while not feeling her best.
Arkeras gowns are available in several different fabric options—each with its own particular personality. Each specific shop page on our site has detailed information about the fabrics: its composition, care, and how it compares to the other Arkeras fabric offerings—all in an effort to help you make the best choice for yourself or as a gift for someone else. At Arkeras, we believe that our personal washable hospital gowns are superior to traditional hospital gowns. Not only does it feel like a designer garment to its wearer, it can be used in a multitude of settings: hospital, nursing home, and hospice as well as for maternity and delivery and in spa environments. It is a hospital gown for home care and self-care.
The Arkeras gown is special is so many ways! Its sustainable fabrics, flattering colors, and easy-access features collectively lighten and brighten the need of its wearer through warmth, comfort, and style. It is a hospital gown that can be considered a type of adaptive clothing due to its easy access in the back, at the neck, and the arms all meant for IV, chest port, and breast exam access. It is considered suitable for people who have suffered a stroke or those with disabilities who need wheelchair adaptive clothing. This soft hospital gown is a lovely gift for cancer patients to use as chemo clothes during regular sessions. The gown also has a heartwarming origin story here.
